But his glasses don't have a camera. They're Even Realities, and they're built without one on purpose. And nobody's suggested he recorded anything. The worry, as far as anyone can tell, is that he read five minutes of statistics without looking down.
Which MPs do off iPads every week. The difference is that you can see the iPad.
I've got a pair myself, and I use them. A little green display, some microphones and no camera, so the people around you don't have to wonder.
Design for the person who didn't buy it
And I'd call that good design. It thought about the person who didn't buy the glasses, which almost nobody does.
But it didn't matter. The story still ran on cameras, because from across a room, no camera looks exactly like a hidden one.
Because the bystander can't see your good intentions. They can only see the glasses, and they've seen the ones that film.
So for me, trust has to be visible to the person who didn't buy it, or it doesn't count.
Even Realities took the camera out. Now somebody has to make it obvious, which might be the harder design job of the two.
