Shift Right

What has changed.

A licence that never renews deserves a product that keeps moving. This is the record of what moved and when, newest first. Nothing you have done is affected by any of it: your work is on your device, and the modules read what is there.

  • The ranked list is priced across modules. Modules ii, iv and v can tie their work to a module i demand line: the journey as a whole in ii, each sensor in iv (the line it would prevent), each function in v (the line it handles). The model prices those with module i's cost per contact and ranks by pounds across modules, saying what each kind of pound is. Nothing is matched by text; the tie is the room's call.
  • The Operating Model cites the benchmark. The demand, flow and queue sections now carry the reference figures from The State of Service Flow, with the evidence note stating how the figures were gathered and what that limits.
  • The modules see each other on the same device. Each module keeps its latest work where the others can read it. The Operating Model fills itself the first time you open it, and afterwards offers each module that is new or has changed. Modules that build on module i or ii offer that work with one click instead of a file. Downloading and importing a copy still works, and is how you move between machines.
  • Where to start. A new section in the Operating Model: one ranked list of moves across every module in it, with the evidence line and the module each came from. Money first where module i has put a number on it, then the moments that decide what people remember, then sensing, then where AI lands, then language.
  • Only have volumes? Module i can assume the times you have not measured, marks every line it did that to, and says so in the report. Where the numbers come from explains the rest.
  • The workbench, redrawn. A lighter header, the module rail down the left, white cards on a line. The same product, easier on the eye for an hour at a time, and the same on a phone.
  • The worked example re-cut from the current modules, so every figure on it is what the kit computes today, including the new ranked list. The PDF is nineteen pages now.
  • Module i's own example starts with a flow figure of about three per cent rather than under one. Same lines, elapsed times that read as a service desk month.
  • Sign in by email. On a new device you can sign in with the email you paid with instead of pasting a key. A link arrives, you click it, done.
  • Licence version 1.5. Checkout asks which organisation the licence is for, and that organisation is printed on every report. Consultants and providers can use Shift Right in paid work again, one licence per client.

  • On sale. Payment through Stripe, as seller of record, so VAT is handled wherever you are and the price is the price. The licence key appears on screen the moment the payment clears and the browser you paid in is unlocked with it.
  • Module i reports gained a column for where each line of failure demand starts, a fifth tab that puts pounds and hours against every line with something wrong, a way for the room to overrule the model with a reason, and the Service Flow Benchmark as the reference line.

August 2026

  • 27 August. The complete worked example, Northwind Managed Services, published as a page and a PDF.
  • 8 August. The Shift Right page gained its hero, and module i became free to run without a key.
  • 3 August. Licence version 1.3: one licence, one price, one set of terms.
  • 2 August. The kit moved from /toolkit/ to /shift-right/. Old links still arrive.
